| Welcome to Oslo, Norway We are pleased to announce that the 2010 CIMaR* Conference will take place in Oslo, Norway May 26-29. BI Norwegian School of Management as organizer of the 18th conference takes the relay of Beijing (2009), and Rio di Janeiro (2008). As Chair of the Local Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to attend. As you know, CIMaR has over the years developed into a fruitful network of leading researchers in international marketing and the Annual Conference provides a central meeting point for all those with a special interest in this field of research. Participants are invited not only to present and debate their ongoing research but also – taking advantage of the friendly and supportive atmosphere at the conference to discuss new research ideas and projects. The CIMaR Conference offers an excellent opportunity for leading scholars and young researchers in the field to profit from discussion and lively exchange of ideas. The venue of the conference will be BI’s new campus just a five-ten minute subway drive from down town Oslo. We will be very happy to welcoming you in May, actually at the same time as the Eurosong Contest 2010 is organized. So if you want to see the finals on May 29 you should make sure to get tickets asap. Oslo, the capital city of Norway, is a green city with lots of parks, museums, a beautiful fjord, which in May-August offers great pleasures to water sport addicted academics. Oslo is still a small town compared to other capitals, some 600.000 inhabitants, 1 million if you include the suburban areas If you want to co-ordinate your presence at CIMaR 2010 with that of EMAC 2010, the timing is excellent. EMAC 2010 is organized in Copenhagen the week after CIMaR. *CIMaR = Consortium of International Market Research |
